Fogarty International Center of the National Institutes of Health, USA.

The core of the training and research plans are focused on graduate level training in Public Health. Additional targeted clinical, laboratory, research methods, surveillance, grant writing and research ethics training is available to our trainees.

Our Research Training Programs aim at further research capacity in our foreign sites. Our goal is to return our trainees as prevention research leaders to their home countries.

Through our trainees, UAB also promotes the initiation of new prevention research, as well as the establishment of long-term collaborative relationships between US investigators and foreign researchers.
